Week #11

My comp`is getting transferred tomorrow! I will recieve a new comp..... GRINGO again haha from Independence Missouri. His name is Elder Richey. He has a little more than a year in the mish. He will finish my training. Also he is really good at singing so we will def be having some duets in church and singing in lessons. Let me tell you the HEAT HAS COME OUT. I am constantly sweating. Also the letters on this keyboard are not actually visible so please excuse my grammer.
Fun things:
1. I had like 5 people call me Donald Trump this week because I am blonde.
2. People do not clean thier dogs here so the sleep in the eyes stays and there are thick lines all down their faces where it has stained their fur.
3. I dont know how I have not told you guys this but the power goes out in my house at least once a day. I think the record once was like 10.
4. We had an open chapel yesterday for people to see our chapel and how it works. I was in the baptismal font area.... and we had such a success. 3 people came into the room. But we had 5 investigators at church so it was chill.
5. Our president changed thew rules on lessons. Now it is required to have 21 lessons with members and 13 others... whereas before it was 20 and 5 haha so big change.
6. CHILE LOST THE SOCCER GAME SO WE ARE NOT IN THE WORLD CUP. EVERYONE WAS SO SAD. Literally nobody even opened the door for us during the game haha. But quite sad because Chile is actually really at soccer. They won (i think) the american cup the past 2 years. Looks like USA better go pretty far.
7. I finally got to do something today for P Day.  We drove an hour to the mountains and I dunked my head and arms in the river since I cannot go swimming. AHHH makes me miss the ocean and Hawaii.
8. We went to check with a member about lunch and she had to call her husband to see when he got paid. It made me realize how much of a sacrifice them giving us lunch is. I think we take it for granted since it is so common in the USA. It really is so generous of them since they are already struggling financially and then give 10 percent to the lord. It really shows their faith and I know they are blessed from it. You can just see the members here are happier than other people.
Fav scripture: 2nd Nephi 4:15. I have really learned to LOVE reading the scriptures. Personal Study is my favorite time of the day. I just want to know everything! I promise once you start reading, you will be drawn in and not want to stop. There are an infinite amount of lessons we can learn from the scriptures. Something I liked doing is reading the seminary manual at BYU hawaii when I do not understand a verse. Through reading the scriptures daily we make better choices, we can have the spirit with us throughout the day, we can apply what we learned and share with others, do acts of kindness or srevice. I know before the mission reading the scriptures everyday was not my best habit..... but now that I have gotten into the habit I can PROMISE it is something that you want to get into. I just want to smile! I love the scriptures! And reading them in depth. Read the subtitles. Mark down questions you have. There is an answer to every problem you have in your life, simple and complicated, big and small.
I love you all! REALLY trying to respond to you guys but my president just cut our email time in half.... so that will be harder. All letters get here! Hope my pics went through! The address is:
