Week #10

How are you all! I promise I will try my best to get pictures sent this week. I think they should come.

Fun facts.
1. Nobody knows their number here. We ask them and they have it taped on the back of their phone or they have to go inside to look it up haha.
2. Juice here is just water and powder. like lemonade, but with every flavor.
3. EVERY empanada has ONE olive at one side of it. It is I guess a tradition or something to find the olive inside. It is like a treasure hunt inside your food.
4. This week I did not understand what a woman was saying to us and my companion whispered to me to ask a question. All I knew was that they were talking about her husband and things they liked to. I asked where is your husband right now. Her response.... in the ground. Dead. I felt so awkward because I had no idea they were talking about that.....
5. Every week at church in scarament metting at the same minute the evangelical church next door starts playing and singing praises of hallejuah and they have drums and everything, so for about 5 minutes it is very hard to concentrate as they are having a grand old time next door.

Favorite scripture of the week. 2 Nephi  chapter 2 verse 24 (and 25 too). This week we studued and taught the plan of salavation. And I LOVE studying and teaching the plan of salvation. It just all makes sense. One thing that struck me this week was in the Liahona from like 2 years ago (we have them all around our house). We all chose the plan of Jesus to here to earth. We ALREADY had the faith. We already passed the hardest test. Every person here on the earth gets the opportunity to have eternal life, whereas everyone who followed satan, do not even get a chance. I know we can pass the test here because we already passed the essential test in heaven. We need to find that faith again and continue holding onto the iron rod.

I had zone conference and although I did not understand all that much because it is all in spanish... I realized how awesome Family Home Evening is in missionary work. We have been tyring to set up a  Family Home Evening with every memeber in the ward so thta it strengthens the family, so that we can bring an investigator to the lesson and reach our goals, ALSO because since we do not get dinner here... there is always food and we get to sit for a whole hour and play games. Pretty much a missionary dream. It has been super successful.

I am so grateful for all your letters and support. Being a missionary is BY FAR the hardest thing I have ver done, but I love it so much at the same time. As many doors are slammed in our faces, there is always one more to find.

Miss you all!
