Funny:
1. We taught a man who could not hear us so we were yelling. We left with him thinking my name was allan.
2. Quote from someone we tried to teach "We are going to live on Venus after this life"
3. Another Quote "I don't like God because he's prettier than me"
4. We were called of the devil and told we do not belive in jesus christ. I was like LOOK AT MY NAMETAG DUDE. # churchofjesuschristoflatterday saints
1. Green onion heads are HUGE here.
2. Pears are so expensive which stinks because they were cheap like 3 weeks ago and I would eat like 3 everyday.
3. I heard the song "Echame La Culpa" by Demi Levato at a branch activity bowling night. Woah. Good song. 3 people came other than the misisoanries and the people in charge haha.
1. I am a sushi master. Having an asian in the house has its benefits. We all have our own bamboo mats. He also made us chocken adobo two times this week and we all made sushi two times.
2. The grinch was on in a house we were teaching and so I officially can somewhat justify that it is the xmas season.
Scripture: 2 Nephi 24: 3 and 2 Nephi 22: 2.
A little about why. Everyone has problems in their lives. But what we do we do. Put on appearances. Appearances are so fake. There is a lady Mireya in our ward who is no joke the happiest person I know and we eat at her house every sunday. Anyways we asked her daughter to say a prayer and she said that her mom should because she started to question the lord why she has so many problems. Then the water works started flowing from her. She described how she is so tired of life and having to deal with her abusive son after living a life with an abusive husband and that she wants to die. We helped her and showed her some mormon messages and are having an FHE with them this week. But something I love is from the conf talk from Bonnie L. Oscarson. She said " The savior mostly administered to one person at a time." SEARCH for the ONE that needs you today. "God watches over us, but it is usually through another person that he meets our needs." I am so grateful to be fully dedicated to always finding the one that needs me today or in some cases the many. Sometimes it is with the people closest to you such as family, neighbor, or best friend. Look past their fake appearance!
Well, I do not think I had many things go right this week. This wek we had 9 set appointments. 7 fell through. 11 committed to church. NONE came (one being our investigator with a baptism date this saturday who went to another church). We found out we is not keeping ANY of the commandments SO he is obviously not getting baptized on Saturday. We teach quite a bit. About 34 lessons every week (at least 15 mins with prayer). They lsiten and many commit BUT never come to church. We walked an hour yesterday to 3 investigators houses and one was not home, one would not come, and the other his dad came out and said nobody else lived there but him. We saw dresses and skirts hanging up and we were like whose are those then haha and he was like mine. LIAR. haha it is all good. My point: sometimes you do not see the progress or blessings. But I just always tell myself I am trying my hardest. We knock doors all day. One woman the other day was like wow you guys are persistant haha I did not know if she was annoyed or impressed. We pass by someone 3 times before we decide to drop them or not. Ultimately, they have their free agency and you planted a seed for the future. I cannot chain them to my bike to come to church. There are over 1,000 inactives in our branch, the people of chile just do not like getting up in the morning haha. Try your hardest and the lord will do the rest!
I love you guys! I hope your xmas season is MERRY AND BRIGHT. I love your emails. I read them ALL throughout the week. Miss you!
