Feb 19th: Transfer 5 week 1

feb 19th: Transfer 5 week 1

HEY! Well Linares has been such a great place the last 6 months but it really is time for me to go to........ TALCAHUANO NORTE. I will finish the training of Elder Aroz from Santiago, Chile. I hope my spanish is good enough haha if I do not understand I will look at him and he will probbaly look at me like well you are my trainer.... I so do not feel ready to train but so excited to take this step! Do not have much time as I have to pack and say goodbye to everyone, but my week in a few bullet points.
  1. Our prez made "COCO" the new mission movie and we are going to use in a lot in FHE and activites to get people to do family history to prepare for the temple dedication around September.
  2. Wrote notes on 60 photos of me in like all my free time this week because I knew I was going to leave. We leave pics of us with the members and investigators with our info to keep in touch.
  3. One day we we were teaching and the dude said, wait a sec, let me get my keys to open the gate. NEVER came back out haha. We waited like 5 minutes. HAHA
  4. OFICIALLY LEGAL. Got my VISA. Only 6 months later haha.
  5. Our haitian investigators told us that their landlord told them we cannot come inside the house anymore to teach so we are planning on teach in the park nearby.
  6. It is so hot that I cuff my sleeves twice. It is super helpful haha (but my new area is by the beach and at the foot of a mountain/hill! So it won't be nearly as hot.
  7. Caught the cold and everyone was like why do you sound so weird. My nose was a faucte this week.
  8. Our mish prez made it a rule that every sunday in church there needs to be a musical number and if the members do not prepare it then the missionaries have to have a song prepared haha so looks like we will singing a lot.
  9. Elder Villablanca my old zone leader who finished his mish last transfer came to Linares this week and it is so true. missionaries are awkward after the mission haha. he just wnated to teach people haha
  10. FUNNY: We had 7 investigators in church yesterday and I was sitting next to 2 of them who are haitians. And for the closing hymn I walked up to the front to grab 2 hymn books and as I was walking back they saw their opportunity to escape as there was nobody next to them and they got up and LEFT hahaha. The whole branch saw and laughed haha. I thought it was funny. We ended up putting a baptismal date for March 10th with one after church.

I will write yal next week but I will be in Concepcion now so I will get letters and packages every monday if they arrive! Going from the middle of nowhere to the tourist town of our mission. (BUT STILL NOT THAT TOURISTY).
