June 18th, 2018

1.Well this week I had my first 2 interviews for a baptism and it went super well. I interviewed an old man and he could not hear that well and I kept asking him if he knew what repentance was and he just kept responding about why prophets are important haha but after like the 5th time asking he finally responded.
2. I gave a talk in church yesterday again... I just gave one like 2 months ago.
3. We had a FHE for the whole ward on Saturday and we invited everyone and we had 6 investigators come and the game they played was TERRIBLE haha. They played a maze type of game and to move forward you had to answer questions about the church like names of the people in the first presidency (nobody knew that I was shocked) and the 8th article of faith and etc. Anyways the investigators obviously did not understand anything and one LEFT in the middle of it. advice: you want to welcome the visitors not scare them away.
4. This week we sadly only had 1 investigator in church. She is on date for June 30th but andre was sick and matias left with his dad for father's day. Nobody listened to us yesterday. But matias and andre are also still on date to be baptized in June (if all goes well).
5. We are struggling to find new people. We are always knocking and contacting but we have some people with potential who are a little stubborn and do not want to act but we are trying to help them!
6. Transfers are next week. I love my area (but I'm not gonna lie it is so small it is kind of rough... we just knock the same doors haha and it is like we knock a door of someone we already knocked and say "well hey jose how are you today... still don't want anything to do with us? yeah haha ok chao). I have had 3 transfers here and my comp has 4 here so he is most likely going to get transferred. But we will see! The lord works in mysterious ways!
7. This week my talk was on how to obtain and renew a testimony. The small and basic things are SO important. When we fail to do the small, how can we expect to recieve the big. Every single day we are either building or weakening our testimony without knowing based on our choices. There is no point at which your testimony is so strong that it stops growing, it is a lifetime duty to nourish our testimonies. Especially for those of you who are holding onto the testimony of your parents, make it a goal to start doing the small and simple things on your own and you will find your own testimony start to develop!

I LOVE THIS GOSPEL! I love having the excuse to talk to everyone because I am a missionary. If you are a member, go minister with the missionaries! It seriously makes or breaks a mission. The members are KEY in the lord's work. Love and miss you all! I had such a good birthday!

I was sung Happy birthday to in english (a few members), chinese (my mission president's wife), spanish (other members), italian (an italian sister missionary in my zone), and filipino (elder romero aka AP). I made myself that trix rice kripsie cake thinking I would not get a cake haha but then our lunch surprised me with a cake. Then we had an FHE with a family and they gave my comp and I matching pajamas for winter. Then we went to the member's house that lives behind our house (basically our mamita) and they had a another cake for me and then told me a chilean tradition is to bite the cake and when I went to bite the cake they shoved it in my face. and it went ALL up my nose.
