Hey! This week we had the dedication of the temple. There were 3 sessions broadcasted from the celestial room in the temple. We watched all 3 at the stake center with everyone with a temple recommend… so the prophet had a youth devotional that was also broadcasted Saturday night which counted as church for those who could not attend. First off, President Nelson is SO funny. I honestly love him. I feel the strongest witness every time he talks that he is the chosen man on this earth at this moment to guide us. Some things I pulled out of this weekend:

1. His wife Wendy spoke about what happens when he receives revelation. She said since he has been prophet his nighttime spiritual inspirations have multiplied. She is a literal witness of the promptings. Sometimes she is allowed to be present and at others times nothing happens unless she leaves. The dead do not like to be called dead. They are desperate to receive these ordinances.

2. In the temple, with their White clothing the leaders looked SO White like any other White I have seen on a TV. It physically looked like they had a light just illuminating from them. And mostly the prophet. I felt as though it was a literal sign that he is God's chosen servant. I have always had a testimony of the prophets but I have never felt even close to what I feel about President Nelson. He was born in 1924 and there were ZERO members of the church on the continent South America.

3. The struggle of the temple for these people. The first members here were part of the Mesa, Arizona temple área. Then the first temple was put in Sao Paulo, Brazil and people sacrificed money and time to travel there to be sealed. Then in 1983, Santiago received a temple and it seemed SO close even though it is like 10 hours away. As of yesterday, there is now a dedicated temple here in Concepción and members could not be happier. I honestly get emotional every time I think about how lucky I am to have grown up with the temple and to be sealed to my family. The members here for years have had to sabe their money and I remember last year in my first área in Linares one family could not go because they had gone the year before and had no money. Can you imagine that. I know the lord is pressing his work forward with the end in mind: temples. Which is why this year the prophet has announced 19 new temples. 

also we got transfers and I am staying here in Quillon to finish training Elder Ormond and I am still the DL here.
